Kodō

Installation in the show Melancholie at Museum Am Bach in Ruden, AT. 6 May – 26 October 2018.

Kodō is an installation with a handmade shishi-odoshi, a traditional Japanese garden ornament made to scare deer. Water from the local creek enters the museum through a hole in the wall and into the shishi-odoshi, and after it has spilled out on the stones, it runs out through another hole and returns to the creek.

It is a heatbeat of the museum, fed by the same water which gives the museum it’s energy and it’s name.
